Santa AI is a children's entertainment application. We are strongly committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle any information in connection with your use of our App.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically:
- We do not require account registration.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or photos beyond the explicit in-app interaction you initiate.
- We do not build user profiles or track you across other apps or websites.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
Santa AI is designed for children under the age of 13. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR provisions for children's data:
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country) without verifiable parental consent.
- All AI chat interactions are processed in real-time and are NOT stored on our servers.
- Parental Controls are built into the App so parents can manage usage, limits, and settings.
4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following information exclusively on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:
- Child's first name and age (entered voluntarily by the parent/guardian).
- Wish list items entered by the child.
- App settings and preferences (music, language, effects).
- In-app purchase receipt status.
This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free tier of Santa AI displays non-personalized banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob. These ads:
- Are served in compliance with Google's Families Policy and COPPA requirements.
- Do NOT use personalized targeting or behavioral tracking for users identified as children.
- Do NOT use your personal data for ad targeting.
Premium subscribers see no advertisements. You may upgrade at any time from the Settings screen.
6. In-App Purchases
Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled through your Apple ID settings.
7. AI Content Processing
Chat messages and story prompts are sent to our AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate Santa's responses. Requests are sent over HTTPS and are not stored beyond the immediate response generation. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
8. Text-to-Speech
Voice responses are generated using the Lemonfox AI text-to-speech service. Audio is generated on-demand and not retained by our service providers beyond immediate delivery.
9. Third-Party Links
The App does not contain links to third-party websites or social media platforms accessible to children.
10. Security
All network communications use industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption. Since we do not collect personal data, the risk of a data breach affecting your family is minimised.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
